What We Do

General

In applying to study in Australia generally your choice of education institution and preferred course will largely depend on:

  • Your previous academic performance and areas of study.
  • English language proficiency.
  • Age requirements of the particular institution.

Process

We suggest that in considering studying in Australia that you first establish your overall education goals, that is, what do you hope to achieve by studying in Australia. We welcome the opportunity to discuss and confirm this with you as it then assists you and us in assessing various study options and education institutions.

It is probable that you will initially be required to provide:

  • Certified copies of previous academic results.
  • Certified copies of syllabi in cases where exemption or advanced entry is sought.
  • Evidence of English language proficiency.
  • Copy of your Passport.
  • Evidence of previous work experience (required for some advanced courses).

What to do First

Contact us by email fax or phone and we will progress your enquiry. There is no need to provide any application documentation at this time. Thai Links has a strong focus on Thai students but we welcome enquiries from prospective students in other countries.

Offer of Place

Once your application, which we have progressed with you, is successful you will be made an offer in writing. The offer will indicate:

  • The course you have been offered and the tuition fee.
  • The deposit to be paid; the amount of Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) to be paid.
  • The conditions attached the offer (if any) and the date of enrolment on the course.

Acceptance of the Offer

To accept the offer you forward the deposit (international bank draft made payable to the educational institution) and sign the letter of offer and return to us. Once this is completed we will arrange for the institution to issue a formal Confirmation of Enrolment, which is then used to apply for a Student Visa. We can arrange for the application of your Student Visa through our affiliated offices in Bangkok and in other countries.

Tuition Fee Policy

Institutions offering courses for international students have refund policies for students who withdraw from a course or choose not to commence a course. These policies vary and we can assist you in advising on this aspect. In the case where a student has paid deposit moneys and then is unable to obtain a Student Visa a 100% refund of the deposit is made.

What We Do

We commit to professionally manage the entire enrolment process including obtaining the Student Visa and making the necessary arrangements for arrival, reception and accommodation in Melbourne. We are then available to assist and advise you on any matters that may arise during your stay in Australia.
